The Boilermaker is one of the largest and most iconic non-marathon road races in the country. First run in 1978, the race has evolved into a non-profit organization which organizes and promotes a year-round portfolio of running events and community outreach activities oriented towards both adults and youth in the area's of exercise, nutrition and food scarcity. With the core mission of inspiring people to live healthier lives, the Boilermaker has grown into much "more than a race".
